This place is perfect for hanging out with friends. The ambiance is top-notch, and the lively atmosphere is enhanced by a great selection of Japanese beers on tap and a variety of creative cocktails. The food is exceptional, with the uni being especially well-priced compared to other restaurants. While the service can be a bit slow on busy weekends, it's understandable given the high demand. I highly recommend this spot and look forward to returning soon.

I love the ambiance and food here. I have come here many times; the food is always good and the vibes are great. However, I recommend making reservations on weekends because they are very busy. My favorite dishes are mentaiko udon and hamachi kama. This time i tried golden spoon and Kinda roll. Yum! It's so good

This place took me for a spin! I know it's wrong to compare places(ipukku) but Kinda was a good experience. The food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 The restaurant itself was beautiful on the inside. Anime and cultural Japanese images all over. Which I thought was pretty cool. The food for me it was a four my mom and partner would say a 5. Again I was being bias. I actually enjoy the cocktails the list is expressive. Do hope they get a whiskey list soon. The service was A plus. My child was being a handful and they definitely made him feel welcomed because he calmed down when the waiters interacted with him. A must go to when in Berkeley! It can get packed so be sure to make a reservation.

A solid izakaya with plenty of variety without compromising quality -- highly recommend the pork belly appetizer, mentaiko cream udon, and sweet potato fries. chicken karaage and sukiyaki are solid too. Food comes out pretty slowly -- the place is consistently busy, and there are not many servers. Interior is so quaint and cute though and all the posters and props and decorations on the walls make you feel like you're in Japan.
